We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and lead the design and implementation of the data architecture. This is an exciting opportunity to have a major impact on International Bike Group (IBG) by allowing us to scale to the next level of data-drivenness.

As Senior Data Engineer you will have the opportunity to build our future from scratch with a dedicated team. You’ll be responsible for IBG’s data roadmap. Eventually, we want every single decision – from the color of our new bikes to the location of a new store – to be based on data. Together with our BI Team, you’ll make sure all data is available, and modeled in a way that everyone can easily find what they’re looking for. So basically, your job ensures every IBG employee becomes a data analyst to some degree.

Your Responsibilities:   

As a Senior Data Engineer at International Bike Group you will be working with the following topics:

  • Designing and implementing data solutions to address our growing needs
  • Setting up ETL processes and a reliable data storage environment
  • Interfacing with engineers, product owners, senior management and other stakeholders to understand their data needs
  • Ensuring high quality, timely and accurate data


What you bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering 

  • Expertise in data warehousing and in-depth understanding of data structures, ETL processes and big data solutions

  • Programming experience in building high quality solutions. Experience with Python, Scala or Java preferred

  • Strong understanding of development processes and agile methodologies 

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tasks across multiple disciplines and lines of business 

  • Self-starter who is able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
